Boundaries
On the North-West Mandi is bounded by Kangra and Bilaspur on the West by Hamirpur. Arki tehsil of Solan district is on the South. On its South-West lies Shimla district and in the East lies kullu

1540:-   Sher Shah Suri ordered his able General Khawas Khan to bring Nagarkot and other Hill areas under his subjugation. Khawas Khan succeeded in his mission.
