Boundaries: 
It shares its East boundaries with Tibet. The Zanskar mountain range is the international frontier between Kinnaur and Tibet. On the South and the South Eastern sides, it touches Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, on the western side lies the Shimla district. On the North and North-West is situated Lahaul and Spiti. Kullu forms its western boundaries.

1540:-   Sher Shah Suri ordered his able General Khawas Khan to bring Nagarkot and other Hill areas under his subjugation. Khawas Khan succeeded in his mission.
